We’re happy to announce the latest update to Cubit Estimating, which offers new features to further enhance your pricing...
Since the last major update of Cubit in June 2016, our Development team has been working tirelessly to bring you our most advance estimating and takeoff software to date. On behalf of all our teams, I'm proud to be able to bring you Cubit 7.
Cubit 7 is another pillar in our pursuit to make construction easier. Our focus has been shaped by user feedback, to give estimators like you a solution that reduces errors, and allows you to produce quick and efficient estimates time and time again.
There's some big features to give users significant flexibility and power in the way they estimate and takeoff using Cubit. We've put together a short product update video below, giving you an overview of the new and enhanced features.
I urge you to stay in touch with our teams to provide them the necessary feedback so we can continue improving the way our customers estimate. We hope you enjoy using Cubit 7.
One of our most user-requested features headlines Cubit 7. Referencing in Cubit is far more flexible and powerful than anything we’ve ever released, and gives you complete control over your estimate.
You’ll have the ability to reference just about any cell, a range of cells, or a row in your estimate. You can even reference another job or price list.
Referencing is so intuitive, it even allows you to drag and drop items from any assigned job or price list from the Referencing pane into your estimate!
We’ve introduced a Constants library, with a set of default values for standard items like angles, beams, reinforcement and conversion factors.
For example, you may want to convert cubic metres to the number of steel lengths. You’d do this by bringing a value from your Constants into the factor column.
You can even create your own set of Constant values, depending on the type of work you do.
The calculation sheet has been enhanced to give you more flexibility when dealing with shapes, quantities and items, allowing you to work more naturally at this level of your estimates.
Shapes and items can now move to anywhere in the calculation sheet, with collapse and expand options giving you better overall visibility. Plus, shapes can be used multiple times in one calculation sheet.
Now Cubit users can add, edit and manage company / client details all within the Job Manager.
In Cubit 7, our new licencing system gives users better access, control and flexibility, particularly those on a floating licence. Whether sharing a floating licence between staff, or if you are setup to work between your home and work, accessing Cubit has never been easier.
