Cubit Select Update - version 1.3.3

Written By Steve Kilsby

Buildsoft has made some important improvements to Cubit Select. See details of the update below.

Manual Total Improvements

We’ve listened to your feedback about the way Cubit Select calculates and displays totals.

Having an understanding of how and why Cubit Select displays totals in different ways is essential to developing accurate costings for your job.

Manual Totals is one of two processes in Cubit Select that can have a large effect on totals; the other being Updates from Cubit.

Now when you are editing a quote item in the Trade Comparison screen while it is under a Manual Total, you will receive a clear prompt, letting you know that the edit will not affect the quote total.

Furthering our effort to make Manual Totals easier to understand, we have changed the default mode for adding a lump sum quote to Pro rata from Estimate in the Add Quote window.

We’ve created an article about understanding Cubit Select Totals, to help answer the questions you might have, including what is a manual total, how to turn it off, why aren’t totals being updated, and why do you see negative rates. You can read the article by clicking here.
