Buildsoft is excited to release the next leap forward in managing your tender process, enhancing the way you collaborate and communicate with your suppliers from within Cubit Select.
Cubit Select introduces a range of new features that enable you to invite suppliers to bid on jobs, distribute important documentation on your Trade Packages, and manage the progress of invited suppliers in Trade Packages.
Cubit Select gives you the ability to take your bid management workflow further with the ability to communicate and share information with your suppliers from directly inside the software.
Now you can easily invite suppliers to bid on your jobs using Invitations. Cubit Select displays a range of information to help you quickly evaluate which suppliers you would like to request a quote from, including the number of times they have been invited to quote, submitted a quote, and been picked for a job; how many Trade Packages they are currently quoting, their location, and any notes you’ve added about them.

You can then send your suppliers an invitation to submit a quote, and share all of the relevant tender documents they will need through a Supplier Portal.
When changes to the requirements of a bid are made, you can send a follow-up message to all of your invited suppliers which will share the updated documentation with them.

Communicating with your suppliers within the software in this way offers you a greater level of efficiency with a seamless workflow from requesting quotes to managing quotes and picking them to apply to your estimate.
Managing the progress of invited suppliers in Trade Packages
To offer you more control over the progress of a bid, we’ve added a new Trade Packages tab, where you can assign and monitor the status of all of your invited suppliers and have immediate insight into the number of quotes you have received, and the picked status of each Trade Package.

This gives you better visibility over the entire bid lifecycle, so you know what actions should be taken and better manage your bid workflow.
Distributing the paperwork and documentation associated with a job can be complicated. There are many different documents to collate that need to be shared with your suppliers for them to be able to supply you with quotes.
Cubit Select now offers a more efficient way to manage the process, acting as a central platform to store and distribute the most up-to-date documentation for your bids. Using the new Documents tab, save information such as Job Instructions, Tender Contacts, and Scope of Works; and assign them to relevant Trade Packages.
You can then share these documents using the new Invitations feature. There’s no need to create copies of your documents for multiple Trade Packages or manually attach them to individual emails to your suppliers; Cubit Select allows you to share the information with multiple suppliers at once, at the click of a button.

Having your documents centralised within Cubit Select also makes your communications easier when changes are made to your documentation. After assigning your updated documentation to the relevant Trade Packages they will automatically appear in the Supplier Portal, so that everyone shares the latest collection of documents, reducing the risk of out-of-date information being used.
Cubit Select now offers you an additional way to work with your supplier data, with the ability to bulk import and update your suppliers and contacts. This new feature allows you to save much more of your time, without the need to manually add or edit your supplier information one-by-one.
You’re also now able to archive specific suppliers from your list so that you remove any duplicate listings or contacts you no longer need.
