Cubit Classroom Fundamentals

Course Overview:

This virtual short course is for Estimators, Quantity Surveyors, and advanced users of Cubit who work with or are preparing to work with BIM. It provides the skills and knowledge you need to be able to work with IFC files to create a detailed and accurate estimate.

 

Outcomes:

  • You will be able to import IFC-formated BIM files
  • You will understand how to inspect your BIM file in the viewport
  • You will learn how to perform quantity takeoff directly from your BIM file into your estimate
  • You will learn how to create, track, manage and review revisions to a BIM file
  • You will learn how to utilise the BIM Inspection Tools to navigate through changes
  • You will learn how to confirm changes for optimal efficiency in your workflow
  • You will be able to generate a Revision Comparison Report to show you the differences between your original estimate and your revised estimate


Pre-requisites:

You should have already completed our Cubit Fundamentals Classroom Training, or both the Natural Estimating 101: An Introduction to Cubit and Producing Estimates in Cubit virtual short courses. 

You should be familiar with Cubit and it’s basic functions and features, and be able to create an estimate and perform quantity takeoffs. 

You should be familiar with the BIM process, and with IFC-formated BIM files.
