Buildsoft is an Australian company with its head office in Sydney. 

Buildsoft was established in 1985 to develop and market computer software for the building and construction industry. 

Buildsoft is staffed by an enthusiastic team with many years of practical experience in the building industry.Our aim is to provide the very best in software at an affordable price. In the development process we always strive to include our customer's ideas in order to produce powerful but user-friendly products. In Australia, our products quickly became the industry standard and are now exported to over 20 countries. We have a select network of accredited overseas distributors and over 6000 installations worldwide. 

Because of this, Universities and TAFE colleges in Australia as well as selected Universities throughout Asia and the U.K. are teaching our products as the accepted standard. 

We have a complete range of products from smaller systems suitable for sub-contractors and smaller builders, through to network software for large commercial construction companies and quantity surveyors. 

Buildsoft has made it easy for the building industry to move in logical steps from 2D to 3D on-screen take-off.

In 2012, Buildsoft released BT2 (Buildsoft Takeoff 2) including BIM Reader to allow takeoff and extraction of quantities from PDF, DWG, DXF and DWFx files
