Bolts

BOLTS is an internet program that greatly improves the tendering process. It allows bills, documents, plans, quotes and other tender information to be exchanged between builders, subcontractors and suppliers. It is based on the traditional well-proven manual system, but speeds and assists by organizing and automating tasks.

A job can be uploaded from your estimating system or created online. BOLTS includes a system for managing tender documents and is a total communication system with your subcontractor, advising them and contacting them regarding updated details and when they are required to submit their information. The subcontractor then generates a quotation and forwards it back to you in an electronic form that can be downloaded into most commonly used estimating programs and therefore requires no retyping. You are able to send automated warning messages as a closing date approaches.

BOLTS then allows you to compare the various quotes in alike sections, and to make final selections when the job has closed. Further, the quote information obtained through BOLTS can be downloaded into your Buildsoft Global Estimating or some other programs for the final management review process.

Automated reminder messages warn subcontractors when a job will close - if their quote is incomplete or not yet started
An SMS option keeps the builder informed if a subcontractor has finished their quote or if messages require a response
The quote data obtained through BOLTS can be downloaded via XML into some secondary software packages
The system incorporates a To-Do list, so you can remind yourself of tasks that need to be completed
